Word 2000 - file conversion

How do I, if I can, convert my template documents with
file extentions "dot" to regular word documents with file
extension "doc". I'm using Word 2000. Thanks, Howard

You can't convert them. What you do is base a document on the template. If
you double-click on a .dot file in Windows Explorer, the default action is
New, that is, to create a new document.
