Word 2000 , top menu disappeared

Have lost "File, Edit etc.

Anybody any ideas on how to retrieve it

This is due to a little corruption in the Registry. This article

Thanks Beth will give it a go. However I have since found that the problem
only occurs after outlook starts up as part of the STARTUP menu. If outlook
is closed the TOOLBARS return. I can then open outlook subsequently and the
TOOLBARS are still there ! How weird !
