What OS are you using for TweakUI? If XP, and using the XP version, click on
the Explorer option and see if you have the option set to clear document
history on exit or if you have the option unchecked to show recent documents
on start menu.
Uninstalling TweakUI without changing any of the settings does nothing to
change what you had previously done since the TweakUI tool actually makes
registry changes. Unistalling does not change the registry changes made
while the tool is installed. You will either need to reinstall and make the
suggested changes or learn to edit your registry to remove the changes made
with TweakUI.

After furious head scratching, Connie asked:
| I did have Tweak UI loaded, but the option was not checked so I went
| and unloaded Tweak just in case and the option is still grayed out.
