We have changed some of the settings in Word and I was
wondering if there is any way to restore all the default
settings back?

If you really want to get back to *all* the factory defaults, the way to do
it is by renaming Normal.dot. Note that in doing this you will lose:

1. User-defined or customized styles
2. Macros
3. User-created AutoText entries
4. Toolbar customizations
5. Custom toolbars
6. User-created keyboard shortcuts

You can use the Organizer to retrieve styles, macros, AutoText, and custom
toolbars from the renamed template, but toolbar customizations and keyboard
shortcuts will have to be rebuilt. For more, see
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/BlankDocNotBlank.htm

You can also reset specific parts of Word without taking this drastic step.
For example, Tools | Customize contains a reset button that can be used
selectively to reset toolbars or the menu bar to their default
configuration. And you can reset styles to their factory default by deleting
them in Format | Style | Styles in use. Unfortunately, you can't delete
Normal or any Heading styles that are displayed in that view.
