Word 2003, How to insert a stacked fraction (one half) without using keyboard

Hello WXRD,

I'm assuming you would like to use the mouse?

1. Choose Insert + Symbol.
2. In the dialogue box that appears click the drop down arrow on the top
left to choose the font style you are typing in, eg. Arial.
3. Scroll through the symbols and click on the 1/2.
4. Click Insert at the bottom right.

Thanks but all I have are thirds and eighths, one half isn't in any of the
fonts

I beg to differ: ½ is in *every* font, though not in the same place with the
thirds and eighths. See
