Could you explain what you mean with loading it from the Word Ribbon?
The scenario you are picturing would be helpful to us.

I'm using VSTO 2005SE to develop a Word 2007 add-in application. I
would like the users to click a button on the Word Ribbon that would
load the add-in. (The add-in I want to load has several user forms
along with two custom taskpanes - I'm loading/instantiating them in
the application startup event)...I didn't want to have create and load
all these forms and taskpanes unless the user was actually going to
need them.
Is there a way to load a 'low overhead' addin that will put various
other buttons on the user ribbon - buttons for add-ins that will
load on demand?
