I have a 2003 word doc which has hundreds of links to images. Save it as a
..docx. Select an image and invoke Links dialog. The selection in the Links
dialog does not refer to the image selected. This appears to be a bug without
any workaround.
One possible workaround: If the links are stored as INCLUDEPICTURE fields in
the .docx file, the dialog and current selection are in sync.
Is this fixed in Word 2010?
I had a whole bunch of macros written to convert links to INCLUDEPICTURE
fields etc and I lost them while saving templates. I am hoping I do not have
to write such horrendous code again and word 2010 will have a clean
consistent way of handling images.
