Word 97 and 2003

M

Marc

Greetings,

Is there any way to make windows use word 97 as the default on a
system with both 97 and 2003 installed? I have an application that
doesn't support 2003 and users who don't want to replace it with an
earlier version.

Thanks for your help,
Marc

Hi Marc,

Generally the last version of an Office app run
will control which is the 'default' There isn't
an effective set of 'settings' to keep one as the
default although you can try to fiddle with the
File associations a bit.

Alternatively, you can place them on separate boot
partitions.
