Word 97 startup problem or not.

Hi,

Can anyone help me with a problem!

When I click on a saved Word document it loads up into Word but I get an
error message saying that the document is being used by me and do I want to
make a copy.

How do I stop this message from popping up?

I am running it on Window XP home edition.
