word and limited user accounts

Hi I'm new to XP Home. My office package works fine in administrator accounts but if I limit the accounts for my children Word etc. refuses to run. Keeps ascking for product key. When given Begins to install then closes. On start up asks for the product key again

I don't believe Microsoft would be so short sighted to not enable office programs to run in limited user accounts

Thankyou.
