Word exits with errors- no solution but involves normal.m

Word 2007- Vista on a Dell laptop. Continues to store normal.m even after
removal and up exiting word, it always says "Word Stopped working" you have
to cancel that, then you get a second pop-up-- "Windows is looking for a
solution to this problem" which you also cancel and then you are out. It
always opens fine and otherwise program works OK. I've read the considerable
discussion on this issue and don't see that particular problem. I do have an
HP printer but I unistalled it and it did the same thing. It doesn't happen
when you start Word in Safe-mode and exit-- but I don't want to have to do
that. My other suspect program is Documents-to-Go which I may have installed
about the time this problem started, but I wondered if there is a
work-around?

I'm not familiar with "Documents-to-Go," but if it installs an add-in for
Word, it might very well be the culprit.

What is normal.m?

Word MUST have a locally installed printer driver, so uninstalling the
printer did not prove anything. You simply need to switch to a different
printer. For the test, install the Generic Text driver (included as standard
with all Windows platforms). Use Add Printer and select the Generic Text
driver making it the default printer for the test.

The /a switch test says that Word is OK and that you probably have a bad
third party add-in. So documents-to-go is highly suspect: uninstall it and
test again.
