word is crashing when I open it

Hello,

I am new to this group. I need a serious help making ms-word work. I am not
able to open ms-word. It crashes everytime I open it. I tried to repair it
from the cd menu, uninstalled and re-installed but the same problem persist.
What could be wrong? I will appreciate your help.
