Word keeps crashing any ideas how to fix

When I use Autoshapes and then save the file it won't reopen, the whole thing
crashes. All my other files in Word that don't include Autoshapes are fine
and reopen as normal. Any ideas how to fix?

Hi sandyb,

Try this:
1. Start Microsoft Word, and then open a new Blank Document.
2. On the Insert menu, click File, select your document, and then click
Insert.
3. On the Insert menu, point to Picture, and then click AutoShape.
4. Select the type of AutoShape that you want, and then click the particular
shape that you want.
