Keyboard works fine with other applications but not with Word. I am
using Word 2002 on Windows2000 and it used to work fine until a week
ago. very Frustrating ! PLEASE Help if you can.
If you press a key, the letter either doesn't appear at all or there is
a long delay. Also noticed that when Word application is open, the
problem seems to show up with some other applications as well.
I checked several sites and someone mentioned that this is due to a
virus called "backdoor.***" something and advised to update my Norton
anti-virus which had expired. I did that once yesterday and I am doing
it again now but I don't have much hope with that. Just shelled out
$24.95 for this anti-virus nonsense again which has never helped me
with any real problems. Two years ago, I had a spyware problem for
which I bought Norton antivirus and it didn't help me one bit and I had
to slog thro' the net for 2 weeks for useful information that could
finally fix the problem. I then disabled the virus software and instead
made sure that I am vigilant with opening my emails. With that and the
Lord's help, I was ok so far until this happened.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
