It seems that I cannot copy and paste in the Word program
without it locking up. It tries to recover my document
and locks up again, over and over again. All the while
it is asking me to let it "phone home" and I still get no
response or recovered document. It is not locked to Word
alone, I get the same results using Word as my email
editor. This causes lots of problems with reports I must
write and letters that must be edited. I have even tried
to uninstall Office to reinstall it and it won't let me
do the uninstall giving me an I/O operation aborted
because of a thread or application request error. I have
also gotten the ERROR 1500 another instalation in
progress. I have rebooted, and rolled back. I am
running Office XP with all updates and service packs. I
cannot do the office repair - reinstall - or removal
without getting a "fatal error". Any thoughts would be
appriciated. I would not want to format the entire drive
just to repair this situation, but it is looking more and
more like that.
