I have a file in Microsoft Word. I also have Acrobat 6.0
How do I output my word file into a composite PDF file so that
the printer can use it directly

Although I know someone here can help you, you will probably have better
luck if you ask questions like this in Adobe's newsgroup for Acrobat.

You are probably referring to Adobe Acrobat Reader. It will
not produce PDFs. Your options are:
1. Buy Adobe Acrobat 6 at about $450.
2. Download and install the free Win2PDF from:
http://www.win2pdf.com
3. Download and install the free PrimoPDF from:
http://www.primopdf.com/

All three are installed as a printer driver, so when you
want to create the PDF, choose Print from the File drop
down menu and then select the appropriate "printer."

I should have added to my previous post that if you wish to
create color separations for your printer, Adobe Acrobat 6
or the priced versions of the others may work, I haven't
had experience with that aspect of the Win2PDF or PrimoPDF.

Chuck,

Just curious. Won't Word still output RGB files, regardless what pdf
program is used?

Happy New Year,

Surely they would be RGB composite though :)

I think the OP may have left out the crucial acronym here, CMYK.

'Tain't easy to get CMYK Composite out of Word. Especially in a Publisher
group.
Although I'm sure it's possible. :)
