Word Unexpectantly Quit Problem

I have a problem that seems to be a software bug in the Office product
line. Frequently, when I launch Word, after a 5 to 10 second period of
time, the program will quit unexpenctantly. This also happens in Excel
and Outlook.

Since the laptop on which the problem was occuring was new, the company
replaced the laptop. However the problems is in the new laptop too. I
have reloaded the Office XP program and this does not solve the problem.

The laptop has wireless and Ethernet connectivity. Upon reflection, I
found that when I am connected at home via wireless network or at work
on my Ethernet connection, the Word problem is less prone to happen. It
is when I am using the laptop standalone in classes that the Word,
Outlook, and Excel problems occur.

Does anyone know if this is a bug? Thanks.

Have you applied the Service Pack and Patches for Office XP?

Yes, the SPs have been applied and the problem persists.
