Word will not save macros

Today I had the and error pop up that Word had crashed. From that point on
when I tried to open it would immediately crash. To get around the problem I
moved the normal.dot file from my profile and started word again.

I can now open word and everything seems to work except I cannot save
macros. Basically every time I open word if I create a macro I can use it
during that session. But once I close word and open it again all of my
custom word macros are missing. How do I fix this issue.

If you also happen to use Adobe 7.0 then there is a known issue with
their add-in that prevents changes to your Normal.dot from being
saved.

I suspect they flag Normal.dot as Saved as an effort to workaround the
issue of Normal.dot being saved each time you exit Word due to the
changes their add-in makes each time Word starts, which of course,
discards any changes you make as well. <sigh>

Anyway, either hold Shift and click File/Save All for force the save
of Normal.dot or remove the PDFMaker add-in from the Office\Startup
folder to prevent it from loading when Word starts.
