[Mad about word]

Word should use the function keys like on/off buttons for tasks like
underline, bold etc. for those who like to use key strokes rather than the
mouse. All keyboards have them, so what shouldn't they be used regularly.
For instance, if I hit the page up or page down button, it does not take me a
page up or page down --why? The current system is like the old original
wordperfect system, and is inefficient for proficient typists.

Try looking up "Keyboard Shortcuts" in the Word help. Much of what you are
asking for is already provided. (Ctrl-B, Ctrl-U, etc). Further, Word will
let you assign your own keystrokes to many common commands. FFI:
