Word's strange behavior

R

Reggie

I have Word 2002 at work. I copied a 50 page report I am writing and brought
it home to work on. When I open it in Word 2000 the first page contains
peculiar I-beam markings in front of the first word in several paragraphs?
What causes this and how can I get rid of them?

Thanks

They're probably bookmarks. Go to Tools > Options > View and uncheck
the Bookmarks box.
