Work and Actual work protected.

I understand from the project professional documentation that actual
work protected is the duration reported by the resources.

Work is something that i fill in when i create a task.

Does the project makes Work = actual work protected when the task is
100% complete, because on all the completed tasks i see these values as same

Also if this is true, then how would someone figure out difference
between "planned work" and execution ?

any help would be appreciated.

When a Task is 100% Work=Actual Work. To know what was originally scheduled
select Tools, Tracking, save baseline. The baseline dates never change
unless you change them. The Tracking Gantt chart shows current dates vs
baseline dates.
