work by week

Hi,

I'd like to change the view "task usage" to a weekly view. Therefore, I've
already changed the timescale which is in the view from days to weeks. If I
look now in the view, I see that in i.e. week 13 I have 33 workdays. What I
need is to see how many people I need in this Week, therefore I want to
create a calculated value ([work] / 5). So I cliecked on
tools/cusomize/fields and created a Task/Duration field. Unfortunately I cant
choose this field in the view. Is there a possibility to create a calculated
field, which I can use in a view?

Hi,

The bad news is, no, you cannot have a timescaled custom field.
The good news is, it is a standard thing, it is there for the taking
Format, Detail Styles, left select Percent Allocation, "Show"
If it is the maximum number at any time you want to see, it's Peak Units
If you want to see decimals instead of oercentage, Tools, Options,
Svcheduling, Show assignment units.
