I have a file that when I bring it up I show 2 files
being open and both of these files are the same. The
extension shown in the Subject Line is what shows at the
top

What is this and how did I create this and How do I get
rid of it.

Many Thanks

This happens when you open 2 windows in a file. Just select one of the files --
click the inside x to close it, then save the file.

Hi Jim!

First, it happened because you used Window > New Window.

Second, to get rid of it:

Click on the window you don't want and use Ctrl-W.

Repeat this until all those "extra" windows are closed and you're left
with: YourWorkbook.xls.

Now save the workbook.
