I have Windows Vista Laptop and have office 2007 installed. I have a .xls
excel 2003 file that I do my footy tippings with. The first time I access the
file excel 2007 will open the file perfectly, but if I shut down the
spreadsheet and try to open it again it gives me a message that the file is
locked for editing by myself and that i must open it as a read-only document.
This does not occur with .xlsx 2007 excel files. Does anyone have any idea's
what is going on, is there a patch to fix this. O and by the way if I restart
the computer the file will be unlocked for again for one opening and then
lock up again.
Thanks everyone
