XP printer driver slower than Me driver

I had been using Me Publisher 2000 print driver to print to a networked
printer. It would send the 8 pages to the printer, which woudl then print out
200 copies we request.

We upgraded to new PC w/ XP Home SP2, and Publisher 2003 and the XP driver
now spools an 8 page document X (times) 200 copies for about 1600 before it
would attempt to print.

I can't find any settings to make any difference. I've tried spooling on and
off. Please help. If this sounds like a printer driver problem, please let me
know, or other ways to trouble shoot. We bought the new pc and new Office
2003 to handle precisely this kind of print job.
