See previous thread - for some reason I can't post a reply in the thread without getting a server error. I have found the log, but it doesn't help, just says the same as a manual run "Error 1311. Source file not found(cabinet): E:\OFFICE1.CAB. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it." It does exist and I can access it!!!!

I had thought of doing this, but don't want to as it is for someone else and I am reluctant to hand over a brand new PC with a cludged install. The article is quite disappointing - over a year old and only a temporary workround. I am wondering if it is something to do with MSI not being able to see hidden files for some reason - even though I have my preferences set to show everything, I notice hidden files don't show up in the "my Computer" toolbar fly out. I get te error on the first run of each of the office programs by the way.

additional info - it is certainly detecting the CD OK - if I move it to another drive, it says it can't find the CAB file on that drive
