A few Office issues

Just a couple questions, if someone would be so kind...

1. I have an annoying glitch I seem to have picked up. If I open Word and
then MS Word Help, I get a popup saying "Internet Explorer - An ActiveX
Control on this page might be unsafe to interact with other parts of the
page, Do you want to allow this interaction? Yes/No."

Its really annoying. I assume its clashing with my IE. How can I stop this?

2. I want to apply all the patches, is there a list of them available to
download and are there any I shouldn't use?

Thanks,

Graham

On Issue#1:

This has to do with your Active X control settings in IE being set too high.
To fix, do the following:

1. Open Internet Explorer
2. Click on TOOLS-INTERNET OPTIONS
3. Scroll down to the Active X settings and esure that the "Signed ActiveX
Controls" are set to Enable, or at the very least "Prompt".
4. Do the same for "Run ActiveX Controls and Plug-Ins".
5. Do the same for "Script ActiveX Controls Marked Safe for Scripting".

By doing the above, it should resolve a few issues.

Issue #2

Go to Windows Update and download the various updates. I would be careful
with SP2, depending on what you have installed, but all of the others should
be ok.
