A hyperlink back to my home page won't work

Stacy

In a website of 7 pages I have one hyperlink back to my home page that will
not work. When you go to the "Home" button it takes you to an error page
that says "the page cannot be found, HTTP error 404". This hyperlink has
been copied, re-done, deleted and re-done and still I can not figure out why
this one will not work when all the others do. I have deleted my temporary
files, I have access to the page in question ("Index") and the page itself
is working. This problem recently popped up and I am at a loss on how to fix
it.

Thank you!!

I guess you need to know a little more info... Sorry, I am computer illiterate
Under NIH awards...then click on Post Phase I results..
It is at the bottom of this page that the "Home" buttonn does not work.

If you mean the one on page6.htm it's because the extension is wrong..you
need to make the hyperlink index.html not index.htm

I feel smart! Even with my very limited computer experience I had recognized
that slight difference in the address but I don't know how to fix it. If I
click on the "home" button and get hyperlink properties it takes me to a
screen where I can change the address and by adding the L at the end of HTM
doesn't make the hyperlink work. I have also just copied the hyperlink from
other pages that do work and this problem still exists.

Did you add "L" or "l"?

Well, Thank you very much! After you confirmed I was on the right track with
the extension problem I went back and was able to figure out how to make the
address correct! I appreciate everyone taking the time to answer my
question and offer assistance.
