A publisher file vanished from screen how do I retrieve it?

Trying to insert two extra pages in a Publisher document it vanished from the
screen. Now Publisher tells me it cannot open the file. The file icon which
shows up in my Documents folder but does not open when required. Why? How can
it be retrieved?

Thankyou for responding Mary. The version I have installed is Microsoft
Publisher 2003. Any good to you?

A couple of things you can try. Publisher will create temp files, you might get
lucky. In Windows Explorer input %temp% in the address bar. The temp files maybe on
your hard drive without being in the temp folder.
Open Publisher, turn off the detailed display, view, pictures. If there are images in
your publication, they maybe too large and they are preventing you from opening the
file.
Updating your graphics driver may help or sliding down the acceleration. Control
panel, display, settings tab, advanced button, troubleshoot tab. If this does help
then it is a graphics card driver issue.
