Access 2003 stopped working in Office

I have Office Professional 2003. Access won't open. When I try, I get a box
with the message "Please wait while Windows configures..." as if the computer
is trying to load the program. It's already on the machine. I've tried the
software repair utility and uninstalling and reinstalling the entire suite
from the disk. None of this has worked. I was using the program just a few
days ago - I can't figure out why it's now glitching and it's driving me
insane. I'm taking a university course that I need Access for - I was going
to spend today doing coursework and, instead, I've spent it trying to fix
this!
