Access 97 on XP

I am trying to load Access 97 on Windows & Office XP
enviorment. Access XP was not installed and I do not want
this version. But when I go to start Access 97 "...can't
start because there is no licence for it on this machine"
Any suggestions?

here...I purchased xp several months ago...the teachers
and student's versio...I need access now for school...was
told could download off the internet but can't find
it...If you receive a reply...would you let me know???
