access e mail from laptop and desktop

How do I change settings to get the same e mail delivered to both my laptop
and desktop. I now open up and its downloaded only to the first machine I use

Elect the option to leave mail on the server on the first machine you use.
Then download on both machines but have the second set to delete from
server.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After furious head scratching, douglas asked:
