accessing contacts from outlook 2003 by using outlook 97

i have created a backup copy of my working contacts (outlook 2003). i receive
an error message when i try to import to my home PC (outlook 97). the message
states that is incompatable with my personal computer. does anyone know how
to access these backed up pst files

If you created the backup copy of your contacts by exporting to a pst file
then that indeed isn't compatible with your version of Outlook, what you
need to do is either create a new data file in Outlook 2003 but make sure
it's for Outlook 97 - 2002 datafile and then drag and drop your contacts
into this or export your contacts to some other format i.e. CSV windows or
Excel file.
