Accessing office over home wireless on laptop

Hello,

I have Office professional 2003 for small business installed on my desktop
pc here at home and just setup a wireless network to be able to use my laptop
around the house or in my garage since my wife uses the desktop a lot for
work and school. Is there a way I can access my Office applications using my
laptop??? I tried to just share out the directories on the desktop and I
created shortcuts on the laptop but they dont work and I get missing dll
errors. I can see the directories though. I'm guessing that either you cant
do it this way or or can and Im doing it wrong.

Do I have to actually install office on the laptop? If so will it let me if
I only have my one license ?

Thanks,
Carito

You need to install on the Laptop (other PC) whether you can depends on the
type of Licence, and I believe the small business one is an OEM, licensed
only to the PC it was supplied with.
Since your wife is a teacher she qualifies for the Education Edition which
allows 2/3 installations, allthough only one is supposed to be in use, I
believe, at any one time.

So there is no way that I can run the applications off my desktop where it is
installed from my laptop? Can I purchase another license only or would I have
to buy the entire office package again? Thanks

If you buy the entire package from a discount place such as NewEgg or Amazon
it may actually cost less than buying an additional license from Microsoft.
