Accurate positioning a frame in Word 2000

How do I accurately position a frame for filing in a form. It jumps either
way by too big a distance! I thought I could find a sensitivity setting
somewhere but could not.

Have you tried using Format | Frame to specify an exact position?
Alternatively, press Alt while dragging to override the grid.
