I have Publisher 2002 on my home computer. I now wish to put it on the
Church computer so I may go up there & work on the bulletin. How can I
activate 2 copies? I have all my ID & Product Key Codes as well as my
Activation code on my current computer.

Contrary to Margolotta's "advice" you may purchase another registration
number thru MS. Networks do it all the time. Please excuse the idiots in
this forum. Especially Marogloota, she thinks she's a vampire, she thinks
Tom's fiction is true.

We are sorry MS let her in but now you know the proper answer.

You can request another registration key from MS. That's how networks do it
whether they are home or corporation networks. Don't listen to Margolotta,
she doesn't know how to tie her shoes. 30 an fugly as heck.

Since when?

As far as I've ever been able to ascertain, to be able to do this you must
have a volume licensing agreement of some kind (e.g. Open or Select) from
Microsoft. Otherwise, you cannot simply purchase an additional license, you
have to purchase a new boxed copy.

Since cable-broadband and homenetworking Bill Gates has come up with a
solution, instead of people praiting cd numbers he's willing to sell you one
for your second computer and I quote:

It’s never been easier to add Microsoft® Windows® XP to your second computer
or laptop. If you already have a copy of Windows XP, simply enter either your
current Windows XP Product ID or Product Key in the boxes below, and then
click Submit. Here’s what will happen next:

First, you’ll learn whether you qualify for an additional license as well as
which license you qualify for — the full version or version upgrade. Learn
about qualifying for an additional license. Learn about Windows XP additional
license pricing.

Next, you’ll have an opportunity to order a Product Key for an additional
license directly from Microsoft-approved reseller LTG. Learn about Windows XP
Product Keys. Special offers available on products purchased from Product
Information Center do not apply to products purchased from LTG.

Finally, after you order a Product Key, you'll receive a confirmation e-mail
message that contains the key.

To find your current Product ID
In Windows XP, do one of the following:
Click Start, click My Computer, and then click View system information.
If your computer is set up in Classic view, click Start, point to Settings,
click Control Panel, and then double-click System.
Click the General tab.
You'll find your current Product ID under Registered to.
To find your current Product Key
Your original Windows XP CD was shipped in a small folder inside the product
box. The current Product Key is printed on an orange sticker on the back of
the folder.

Qualifying for an additional license
To qualify for an additional license, you must already have a current, valid
license for the same version of Windows XP — either the full version or the
version upgrade. For example, you can qualify for a Windows XP Professional
full version additional license if you already have a full version of Windows
XP Professional. If you currently have a version upgrade, you're eligible for
an additional license for the version upgrade only. To verify that you have a
qualifying version of Windows XP, we ask you to simply enter either the
Product ID number (PID) or the Product Key.

You may purchase up to three additional licenses for each original Windows
XP version for which you have a current, valid license; however, you may
purchase just one additional license at a time. This goes for office too.

A little research and a son that's a Network Engineer does wonders for home
networkers. It was either that or Bill would lose a lot of money with people
just using the Smart Card to share office and OS related material. No wonder
he's a billionaire.

Unfortunately it clearly states:
"You do not qualify for an additional license if your version of Windows XP
was pre-loaded on your computer when you purchased it from a retailer."

I'd be willing to bet that most people who post here did not buy a full
retail version of Windows. One of my pet peeves is giving people a glimmer
of hope without asking important questions, such as "Is your copy of XXX a
retail version or OEM?"

The OP asked about Publisher, not Windows.
