Activating Office

I will eventually be getting a different computer to use as a primary
computer, however, when I purchased Office and installed it on my current one
I had to activate. When I get my new computer, is it possibile for me to
install office on that one if I uninstall it from this one? Is there a way to
deactivate so I can do so without trouble?

The answer depends on the version and edition of Office (e.g.,
Office XP Standard, Office 2003 Professional, etc.), and whether
it is an OEM or retail copy.

It is office 2003 professional. It is a retail copy I purchased at my
university services department.

There is no "deactivation", you simply uninstall and then install and
activate, use the phone method if it comes to that.
