Add rule lines until end of document

I have a series of documents, each a short history of a historical person.
They will be individually printed so each person at an event will receive a
unique copy. The approximately 250 documents will be printed double sided in
landscape using 4 sheets of 8.5 X 11 paper as a booklet layout with a center
fold, giving 16 available pages of 7 X 8.5 dimensions. Because each story is
a different length, the story part of each booklet will use a different
number of the 16 pages. I need all of the pages after the story to be filled
with lines (similar to this template
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/templates/TC300018321033.aspx?CategoryID=CT101448201033 )
as space for the participants to record their own experiences of the event.

I have a chicken and egg dilemma - whether to calculate how many lines to
add to the document in its current format, to end up with the 16 pages after
the booklet is formatted, or layout the document and then insert enough
lines to fill whatever remaining space exists. If possible I would like to
apply the same changes to an entire folder of documents.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Hi Gary

Can I suggest a completely different way to approach this?

Create an image with your ruled lines. Put it in the header, and format
it to be behind text.

Then, put white shading on all your text. Where the text exists, the
shading will prevent seeing the lines. Where there's no text (ie the
bottom of the pages), you'll see the image with its lines.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, I will look into that. I should note however that I do not need any
lines on the pages with text. It is basically like two different chapters,
the story as a discrete unit followed by their personal journal.
