Adding an additional resource that is available after the task sta

I have a situation that seems simple but I have not been able to make it
work. I have a task say 50 days. Resource one is available immediately and
can start on the task start date. Resources two is not available for say 20
days. After 20 days I want resource 1 and 2 both full time on the project
until its completion. What I seem to be getting is the task is split 25 days
for each resource. Resource 1 stops after 25 days and resource 2 starts on
day 21 and continues on for 25 days. That is not my desired result. I want
both resources working on the project once resource one starts until it is
done.

Hello Rickey,
A simple way to do these assignments is using the Task form with Format /
Details / Resource schedule
Assign the 1st resource with Work = 400 h (for example)
Assign the 2nd resource with work = 200h *and* Delay = 25d (Don't touch the
Leveling delay, that's something else)

Hope this helps,

Hi

In a Gnatt chart view if I go to Format/Details I get no details available.

I got to a task from from views but it would not let me enter say 200h *and*
Delay =25d. I could only enter 200h. Does the type of task have anything to
do with this?

Hi Rickey,

I think Gérard misses a step for you . From the Gantt Chart view,
Window/Split will give you the Task form in the bottom pane. Right click in
the pane and select Resource Schedule.
