Additional Fonts

Hi,

I have Office Pro 2007 on my laptop and desktop. Oddly enough, I have more
fonts on my laptop - some that I need on the desktop, particularly Opus and
any music-related fonts.

I've checked the Microsoft website for font downloads but must be missing
the link. Does anyone know where I can update my desktop fonts to include the
music ones?

Thanks

NOTE: After I posted my message I copied and pasted those fonts from laptop
to desktop. But still wondering how to update fonts.

Thanks,

Fonts are either installed by you or while installing an application that
comes with additional fonts. If you didn't install the music fonts on your
laptop then they came from an application you installed on your laptop at
one time that you did not install on your desktop. Also, as an aside, some
fonts are licensed just like applications so be aware that you may or may
not be able to legally (depends on how the EULA is written) copy fonts from
one PC to another.

Thanks for the response. Office Pro 2007 was installed at the same time on
both computers, although different CD's.

The desktop is new and originally had a trial version of Office 2007. The
laptop is about 4 years old and had Office 2002 until I installed Office Pro
2007. Two CD's were used - it just seems odd that the fonts wouldn't be
identical.

I haven't installed any fonts independently of what was provided, however,
Microsoft must have included new fonts in some of their updates because every
once in awhile new fonts would show up on my laptop.

As to the licensing, I really don't know if there is a problem or not. Since
my music fonts came directly from Microsoft and not something I downloaded
off the Internet, I'm thinking it should be ok to copy them to the desktop.

Thanks again.
