ADDRESS BOOK ON TOOLBAR

Hi Tim:

I'm not sure what you mean by "address icon". Do you wish to use an Outlook
address book, an Access address book, ... where's your datasource?

You would need to get into the VB forms environment, add a class module with
your code to open up your "address book" whereever that may be or insert a
new userform with address listings that you can bring up through VBA code
onto a listbox/combobox etc. Once you have your module completed, then you
can go back to the main window and right click on the Toolbar menu, choose
"customize" then on the left side choose "macros" then on the right side
choose your newly formed module/macro. You now need to drag said macro onto
your toolbar where you wish to place it. You may need to then change the
icon by using the Word macro editor (right click on icon and use the "Edit
Button Image...". That's it!

Am I on the right track here?

Regards,
Al

Oh yes, sorry Al - it is the outlook address book that I want to put on my
word toolbars. So that I can simply click the little icon and use the
addresses in my outlook address book . Thanks very much

Yes, you are on the right track, but you're ahead of me. I wonder where I
could get a book to learn a bit about the code. Something like a dummies
wordvba - but I have not seen one at all. Closest I came was dummies for
wordbasic in lotus smartsuite. Have done a bit of coding in excel, but am
pretty much a beginner.
