Hi,
say I have a project schedule, and I want to allocate a project manager to
it at 40% time for the duration of the project.
I don't want to constrain this time by start and end dates - I want this
allocation to 'float' in a relative manner when I change the start date.
On top of that, I occasionally want to allocate specific tasks to the PM,
which should come out of the 40%. So if I allocate the PM to specific tasks
at 100% for 5 days, I don't want the PM to be over-allocated at 140% during
these days.
Similarly, I'd like to do the same kind of thing for a support person to
free up developer time - the support person would be allocated at 50% or
100% for the whole project, but still allocated against specific tasks.
What is the best way of approaching these kinds of requirements?
Thx,
