If I am in the wrong place please let me know. I searched for SQL Server in
the search box and came to a board. i wrote my question and then it asked me
for a discussion group. The heading of the board says SQL Server in Office.
Here I am???
I am new to SQL Server and I have many questions. i will start with the
biggest queation as of now.
I have an Access database with the tables on SQL Server. I just spent the
$245 for a service call on them and they are on the server and are working.
The front end is an Access database which uses these tables. This is an
accounting program that i created and ran as an Access Front end and back
end. It ran well while in Access, so I decided to upgrade my knowledge and
go to SQL Server.
The first question is:
If I go in to make a change to an invoice, I get an error that says
that it cannot make the changes because another user is changing the same
record. it copies my changes to the clipboard and reverts the record to the
same as before I tried to change it. there are no other users on this
machine. there are no other computers connected to this server.
What is happening and how do I stop it??
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks
