Assigning vacation time

I have a task with 2 resources assigned. I entered
vacation days on the resource calendar. If one of those
resources is on vacation, I want the entire task to be
postponed for those vacation days. Is this possible? For
example, if a task is to begin 9/1 for a duration of 2
days with 2 resources assigned, when I put in a vacation
day for one resource for 9/1, I'd like the task to
readjust the start date to 9/2.

Hi,

This, unfortunately, is not how Project works
There is a lengthy workaround using resource leveling; you can read more
about it on my website.
