I have a template on a network drive so users can enter data and save as that
particular part number as the file name...i later go and print them off....is
there away to have the wrksheets automatically have the filename print as the
header? is it something i put in the template?

View>Header and Footer

choose custom header

pick the option for file name or type &[File] in one of the header boxes.
you can also do this for the sheet name.

Hi
you should have the respective symbol for this in the dialog 'File -
Pagesetup - Header/Footer'

That would depend upon which version of Excel you are running.

If earlier than 2000, you would need a macro to add the filename to a
footer/header.

Otherwise, Frank and Spencer have covered it.
