Autoformat options ignored

Hi All,

My Word 97 completely ignores settings in Tools/Autocorrect/Autoformat. It
behaves as if all the boxes were checked, while they don't. Deleting
Normal.dot did not fix the problem. What else may I check?

Thanks Steve,

I have already tried that. It still does the same. I guess if it will annoy
me to much I'll have to reinstall the Word.

Maybe you have conflicting settings in a global template?
