Background Won't Print

Hi,
I have created a document in Publisher 2003 with a background using an
existing .jpg. I've applied the background to the Master and it shows
fine there and in the publication view, however, when I do
Print-Preview or export to PDF via a .ps the background is gone. Any
clues as to how I might fix this or what the problem might be?

TIA

mr.

If you added a background using the Background tool, it doesn't print - it's
a web page background.
I suggest you check out the Background Images tutorial at

Ed,
Thank-you for such a prompt and informative reply. The tutorial was
helpful, although in my case I merely had to apply the formatted
autoshape to the Master and all is now fine;-) Makes me wonder why the
background function doesn't just do the same thing...

Thanks again.
