Backing up contacts in outlook 2003

Can anyone tell me how to backup contacts in outlook.
Have to reinstall my OS and want to save them

Save your Outlook Data File (Personal Folders File) and reuse it after you
reinstall.
It's where all the mail, calendar, contacts etc are stored.

Make a copy of your PST file (enable hidden files and folders when you
search) on come removable medium. That will backup all your data (Contacts,
Calendar, Notes, Email, etc.)
