Backup Outlook 2003 PST files while Outlook still open?

I have a batch file I run each evening that backs up key files on my
laptop to my desktop via my WIFI router when I get home. Due to speed
limitations, this process can take 20-40 minutes, especially to backup
my large PST files from outlook. I would still like to keep outlook
open and usable during this time, but outlook locks the PST file from
being copied when Outlook is open. I somewhat understand this, as it
is difficult to copy a file while it could be potentially updated in
mid stream. However is there a way around this?
Thanks

You can't back up your PST file or do anything with PST files while Outlook
has them open.

Or use a different backup app, I see nothing resembling 20-40mins in any of
my backup apps.

Note that this is over a wireless connection, so network speed may be the
issue there. And it doesn't matter what you use; I know of no
consumer/desktop backup product that will back up a PST file while it's in
use....

Missed the wifi bit. I wasnt suggesting a backup app could deal with an open
pst, merely commenting on time.
There are backup apps that will/try to close an open app, not that I think
that is relevent here
