BCWP remains stale even after a status update to Physical % Complete

Dear friends,

I had updated the Physical % Complete value of a task, whose EVM
calculation is based on Physical % Complete, through a statusing
update in the PSI (Project Server Interface).

When I opened the same project in Project Professional 2007, though, I
found that the Physical % complete value has been changed, but the
Earned Value (BCWP) value has not changed at all, and remains stale.

When I manually change the Physical % Complete value from within
Project Professional 2007, this time, there is an immediate change in
BCWP, much to our glee. But what we want is for the BCWP to be
automatically recomputed when we open a project, based on whether a
change was made to Physical % complete, outside of Project
Professional 2007.

Any way to make this happen?
